FPS technology stems from the work of the CNRS via Techno Concept, used in the field of motor rehabilitation for several decades. Its adaptation for bruxism was carried out in collaboration with the Centre Borelli UMR, University of Paris-Saclay, under the direction of Prof. Damien RICARD.
The headset incorporates sensors at the masseter muscles that record muscular activity. When activity is detected, calibrated mechanical vibrations are applied to the myotendinous junctions, generating a proprioceptive signal that aims to inhibit masseter activity. When worn regularly, Bruxless aims to progressively reduce the frequency and intensity of episodes.
